Before school:

Children do not need to be at school until the doors open at 8.45.  Some of our school staff team will be available on the playground shortly before then, but please make sure your child is escorted to school and not left unaccompanied.

Start of day procedures:

Children should enter the building via their allocated door.  Adults will be available at the door should you want to share any information or check anything.  We open our doors early so that children can get settled before the school day starts at 8.55.

Children in all year groups up to and including Year 4 must be collected by a named adult at the end of the day.

Children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 will be supervised closely as they leave, and not allowed to leave the building until their Teacher or Teaching Assistant has seen their 'grown up'.  The children in Years 3 and 4 are taken outside and adults remain with them until their 'grown up' collects them.

As the children in Years 5 and 6 are becoming more independent, parents/ carers may choose to give them permission to walk home alone; a letter will be sent home for this option at the start of the academic year, but the request can be made anytime throughout the year.  The Year 5 and 6 children will be escorted to the doors and adults will remain near the doors in case parents or carers have questions at the end of the day, or in case children cannot find their 'grown up' and need to return to their teacher.

After-school clubs:

At the end of an after-school club, teachers will follow the same procedures as above.

If your child is being collected by Wasps for after-school childcare, a member of their staff team will collect them from the door.  Any specific arrangements with Wasps should be made directly from the parent/ carer to the staff team at Wasps.
