School Development Planning

Our School Development Plan is a document outlining what we want to improve and develop during the academic year.  The staff and Governors work on the document using information from a wide range of sources:

  • Current and past school data – information about standards and progress of children

  • Last Ofsted inspection – with a particular focus on the Areas for Improvement identified

  • Other external views of the school, e.g. from Consultants and Advisers who visit

  • Our knowledge of the day to day workings of our school.

We have identified four priority areas for this year, and are working on a plan this term with targets for each area.

Priority Area 1:

Raising attainment throughout the school ensuring pupils make at least good progress from all starting points.

Priority Area 2:

Improve strategies and procedures across school to support and challenge learners with additional learning needs.

Priority Area 3:

Develop greater home involvement in the life of the school and in the progress of learners.

Priority Area 4:

Specifically focus on and develop curriculum areas of English, PSHE, and Science.

SDP for children and others
